I am not sure exactly how to search for this error but I am trying to help one of my users through an issue of 'blank screens'. He is using IE7 on a Windows XP machine to access our SugarCRM installation, which is installed on FreeBSD with PHP5 and Apache 2.2.x.
MULTIPLE times, he has reported that after using SugarCRM for a period of time, he will be navigating to another page and then he will just get a blank screen or an ERROR 500 through his browser. I have been on the site at the exact same time and I have experienced NONE of what he is describing. The site continuing to operate in all of its glorious nature. He also states that the problem continues when he tries to access other pages like the index page and the login page. Other public sites still available for him but the SugarCRM pages end up as 500 errors. The problem remedies itself after a period of time by waiting it out or closing down the browser.
After checking the error log on Apache, I noticed the following error at the time he reported the error. The IP address matches the reporting users. It is listed below:
[Wed Feb 13 16:05:16 2008] [error] [client XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX] File does not exist: [PATH TO SUGARCRM]/sugarcrm/pointer;, referer: http://[URLTO SUGARCRM]/index.php?module=ModuleBuilder&action=index&type=s tudio
My guess is that it is a CACHE problem with IE7 but he is convinced it is something else. Does anyone have any ideas about what is going on?
Thanks for your time and help.
