Default Blank System Settings page in Admin

    5.0.0g on LAMP

Admin -> System Settings builds the complete page with header, footer, sidebar and the "System Settings:" heading - but nothing else.

This is a restored installation where I had to reinstall the system and then repopulate the dbs. Everything else seems to be working, including the other options in the same admin panel.

Is there a specific "repair" option I should use to fix this - I dont like using the repairs unless I have reason to believe they will fix something.

config.php has 777 permissions and is owned by apache as are all the other files.

    Thanks in advance ...

    Hi StewRat

Usually it is a php error.
Take a look at the error_log of the apache.
    It can guide you.

No, nothing in any of the error logs that I can see.

I tried to make php display any errors but nothing visible.

Are there any debug options within SugarCRM other than the log that only seems to show major fatal errors?

The fact that this page builds completely except for the central area makes me think it just isnt reading a file - are the settings it uses in config.php or a MySQL table?

ok, I double checked and have confirmed that php errors would be showing if there were any on this page - but there are none.

Viewing the page in IE (I normally use firefox) I see the "error on page" icon appears. Clicking on that, and then on details shows:

    Line: 64
    Char: 1
    Error: Object expected
    Code: 0

    URL is [mydomain]/index.php?module=Configurator&action=EditView

Line 64 is the line "<body onload="set_focus()" onMouseOut="closeMenus();" >" which follows two javascript blocks and the closing /head tag.

Are there any clues in that error message?

I haven't modified any templates or javascript.

    Thanks in advance ...
