broken html in description field

Hi Everyone,

First off I am using Sugar CRM Community Edition. I don't know which version right now (will know when i go back to work) so hopefully you will still be able to help. Also, I apologize if this is already in the forum but i searched a ton and couldn't find any help on this issue.

A major part of our sugar use has to do with pasting html into the description field of a task. The problem is that if you paste in <a href="https://www.google.com"> and save it in the task, sugar will save it as
<a href=" https://www.google.com">

it puts that space in between the " and the h and i cannot get rid of it unless i start the link off with www rather than https, which is not an option for us.

does anyone know why sugar does this and how i can fix it? we do a lot of cutting and pasting html and that aspect of sugar is driving everyone crazy.

I am not a programmer but do have some technical abilities, but it doesn't include programming. We have 1 in-house programmer who is really busy so i told him i would research this issue before I made him work on it.

I'm having this exact same problem. I'm on version 5.2.0k. I can't upgrade right now but I hope to by the end of the year.
