Hi,
We've recently installed SugarCRM v5.2.0f CE on a server using SSL connections. I noticed that the page loads were taking a long time. Debugging with FIrebug and LiveHHTPheaders showed the none of the 40+ files were being cached due to expires and cache-control headers being sent from the server.
I couldn't find a thing in my searches on the Web and in our Sugar/Apache installation files that indicated why Sugar would be sending out no-cache commands. The Expires header was set for "Expires: Thu, 19 Nov 1981 08:52:00 GMT" which seemed odd.
At any rate, I found a Firefox hack that effectively disables the no-cache headers on ssl connections (browser.cache.disk_cache_ssl). This has improved my Home page load speed from over 15 seconds to less than 3 seconds. It will also save my bandwidth. I was downloading over 1.6Mb for every connection to the Home page.
I clearly think something is wrong in my configuration as I can't imagine anyone would suffer those stats for very long. Any ideas would be appreciated!
Thanks,
William
