Bug with resending a campaign - v5.0a

I have sent a campaign reasonably successfully. I have to resend the same campaign with the same content, etc to another batch of email addresses. However when I do send it, it will not go, even if I go to outbound email queue management and send it manually.

But one thing I have noticed is in the outbound email queue management, the "Send on" date is 1996?? I guess this is why it is not going.

In order to replicate this I would suggest the following:

1. Setup an email campaign using the wizard.
2. Send a campaign once to a number of email addresses.
3. Try resending the same campaign but to another target list and see the results.

I have not tried replicating this as yet, as it wastes a lot of time, but when I do I will share the results.

I had this bug in previous versions and can't quite believe that it is still around in the new 'Super Sugar 5' (in fact can't believe just how many bugs are still appearing), but not sure if the following will work for you but it should at least work for the majority.

Don't ask why but the following should make the 1996 send issue disappear:
- Go into the Admin area
- Enter 'Email Settings'
- Change the mail transfer agent to SMTP
- Enter SMTP server details plus username and password (as applicable)
- Then save

I now don't have that problem while sending a campaign anymore, however would love to know why this might be happening from the Sugar guys.

thanks for this. I will take a look but I use sendmail as apposed to SMTP, so this may pose a problem.
