Bulk convert of leads?

Hi guys, I have let my leads get a bit out of control, I have over 150 of them now and I want to convert them all to opportunities to move them out of the leads tab however it will take forever to do manually. Is there a quick way to do this? i have tried the mass update thing down the bottom, I'm not really sure what this does but it didn't do what I wanted it to do.

Dan .. you don't convert Leads to Opportunities ... but to accounts/contacts and Opportunities and there is no batch function to do this I'm afraid ... it's a million and one clicks :-(

So what would be the normal way of managing leads? I just don't think I can deal with so many manually without a bulk function so I'm thinking just leaving them as leads and if they ever decide to go ahead, then convert them to accounts / contacts opportunities and close them? Or perhaps skip the opportunities altogether?

The normal process would be as you allude to ... once a Lead has been qualified as being "good", it should be converted to an "Account" and a "Contact", creating an "Opportunity" during this process is optional but if there is an opportunity, it is as well to create one during this process.
