Exclamation Cache Upload Dir up to 41,500+ Files!

I have a bit of an issue creaping up on me. Our Sugar CRM for our business is getting a lot more use these days.

    cache/upload directory
    41 GB total
    41,500 files

Our sales teams sends out plenty of our PDF documents each hour and receives a lof to attachments with their emails. I assume that the majority of the 41,500 files (mostly UID format) are email related.

I activated the "Delete related notes & attachments with deleted Emails:" setting in the Admin - Email Settings. I also am Purging the deleted emails with the cron job.

    Any help with be appreciated.
    Thanks.

Does anyone know if there is a way to trace / track down sent emails and search for related attachments that I could delete? I believe this would cut my cache in half, if not more.
