Calendar - how do you make an appointment last more than 1 day???

We are using shared calendars and have the field "end date" added in there. The only required fields are start date.tme and duration though.

How do we make it so the calendar allows meetings lasting longer than 1 day?

This functionality doesn't exist in the latest version of sugar.

I'm evaluating SugarSuite for our company and we miss calendar events that can last more than one day, e.g. vacation.
Is there a chance to get this in SugarSuite?

I think a new event type (or user configurable types?) for vacation would be useful, and - thinking of the system we try to replace in our company - it would be very useful if one could not only invite people to an event but to also ask people to give their OK for a planed vacation.
I hope I could make my thoughts clear...
