    Default Calendar Performances

    Hello,

    I am running a Sugar suite Version 4.5.0f (Build 1202) on a debian/apache2/php5.1.6
the whole on a via C7 2ghz machine.

I have been working a lot on improving the performances because I have a 23 sec response from the server each time I want the shared calendar. I know that this issue has been discuss a lot and I went through the wiki and theforum, especially on this thread :
    http://www.sugarcrm.com/forums/showt...HP+ACCELERATOR

I know that mysql is not responsible for the delay because I can seed the cpu usage of httpd using almost 99 % of CPU.

The number of users is low : 3
the number of calls + meetings + task is around 1600 records wich is nothing.

I am in the dark, I have been through so many investigations, I have even installed the eaccelerator but I moved from 23 sec to 16 sec (still a lot two slow). I am convinced that something is wrong and that it could be very fast to get the same info.

Of course, I could move on to a bi xeon but this is not what I want. I want to prove that Sugar is able to work properly

Thanks in advance for your help and any info that could cure my Sugar.

(ps : I have two platforms having the same problem)

I'm not going to tell you that it shouldn't be faster, but the processor your working with has the same power curve as a PIII between 1.0 and 1.3Ghz. How much memory do you have on it?

This would be a quantum leap in performance, but if you were to change I would go with a single Core 2 Duo tho.

what processors / memory do you have in those machines? From what I read when the C7 came out it was niched to be placed in video decoders (hence the enhanced cryptography) and low power laptops and the like, Not sure if it's ever going to give you good performance as a web server.
