    Default Call outcome- where?

    Hello,

    I have few issue, I need help on:


    1. When I make a call and discuss issues with the customer. Where should I put the outcome of the call?
    2. A lead is always converted to an opportunity immediately if the first contact with customer has taken place with either to go with project or cancel it. Right?

    Hi, I have the same questions as you.

    I think you could put the outcome on a note under the scheduled call. The problem with this is that it will be associated to the call and not the account. So when you see the account history the note will not be shown there and will only be shown when you view the details of the call.

    I have been thinking about what would be the best way of doing this. Either associate the note directly with the account so I can see all the follow ups notes or associate the note to the call so I can see the outcome of that specific call. I am trying to find a way to make the note display in both.

    1. You can either use the description field or create a custom field into Calls module to deal with the outcome;
    2. Actually a Lead is converted to an opportunity if you got a proposal opportunity to him. So you convert this Lead into a Contact, choose creating an Account (pre-requisite for creating an Opportunity) and choose creating an Opportunity. The future of the opportunity (closed won: a new project, closed lost: never mind) now will be focused on Account instead on Lead.
