Call reminder ?

Manual:

Reminder: Select this check box if you want the system to send a
reminder to everybody on the list prior to the call or meeting.

Does it send mail to call receiver (customer) ? I tried with my own contact information and it did not, but I need to be sure system does not send any funny messages to customers without me knowing about it.

Reminder box: Even I untick the reminder box and save the call window the tick is there the next time I open it or view it.

So does it make the remiinder ? Even when unticked and saved ? Does it email to the customer ?

I spent an hour trying to find an answer for this simple question with no luck....

mmm ... maybe I'm missing something ... this may be new functionality ... but sugarcrm has never sent email reminders of meetings/tasks/calls etc. It pops up a message box on the user screen.

Yes, in my tests it has behaved so, but that quote from the "SugarCRM for Dummies" made a bit nervous...

However, if I have in Admin/User Management made a default for reminders, it makes the tick in a box to stay there forever.... Even though the default as far as I understand is for how long time before the call/ meeting the reminder is given

OK, if it is so that it is not sending anything automatically, I am ready to use it.

BTW, there is in Calls / Edit window a button "Send Invites" and it really sends invitation mails.

yes, it send invites to a meeting ... but not reminders
