    Default calls to account

    Hey guys.

    Maybe someone can help me on this one. I have gone to accounts and created a relationship "many to many" with calls. Then i went to calls and added a search field for accounts. Now when i go and create a call and select the account that it is related too i type in the conversation but it does not appear in the calls sub-panel (of the accounts section) of accounts ?

    Why is this and how can i change it so that it does appear in the accounts section under the calls sub-panel

    you created a n:m relationship which in turn made you subpanels on both sides, that's why your search on calls is not working

    What relationship must i create. When i go and create a call i want it to appear in the respected accounts. So if i go and create a call to Top Company i want to go to create a call and then select the account and save the call and i would like it to appear in the calls subpanel of Top Company Account.

    Lets start from beginning:

    1. You already have flex relate field on calls that you can use to create a call and from dropdown select accounts and chose an account. This call will apear in the history subpanel of accounts.

    2. If you want separate subpanel for calls on accounts you can most easily do that by creating 1:n relationship from accounts to calls (if call can have only 1 account right?)

    If you chose this way, you will get subpanel on accounts and a relate field on calls that you need to use when linking to account. (you will now have 2 fields that you can link to accounts, 1 that already existed and another that got added by relationship).

    2.1 If you chose n:m relationship both modules will have subpanels and the way to relate them would be to create a call on create button from subpanel.

    2.2. Lern more about what i mentioned here before coming back with future questions.

    3. Another option is to customize already existing logic and create yourself relate field and reuse existing fields, but since you are beginning, the easiest for you would be option above.

    ok managed to do it i did a repair which seems to fix the problem! but now there is another problem. When i go and log a call it goes i save it and then go back to view calls nothing is there? but it does save it in the relevant account.
