What once worked, is now broken...
When creating a new campaign with the wizard or without, every thing proceeds as normal until we save the campaign email. most of the time, and I have not figured out the squence when it completes correctly, the email template which we spend an hour or two creating, getting all the tracker urls setup, formatted, etc. is blank after we save it. This has resulted in a mass email to our customers with a blank page and nothing in the email. Each time we pull up the saved template it has nothing in it.
We also have tried to edit regularly issued emails to new or potential customers only to have the email edits disappear, the original email still intact in most cases.
This seems to be an issue of the database not permissions based but not knowing enough about where this information is stored I can't say for certain that is the case.
Anyone else ever have this issue? Anyone have any ideas why this would occur?
I should mention this is happening on a sugar install within a plesk environment which was a bear to setup and make work correctly due to the web user provided by plesk (domain based) while apache uses a different web user when performing browser based operations.
Our small business has been hamstrung due to this problem and our marketing formula is at a standstill causing our normal communications with our customers such as announcements and newsletters to disappear and is beginning to adversly affect our bottom line. A new release of our software is coming soon and the inability to announce this to our customers is quite unsettling. Our CEO is at the breaking point with this software and while our team in the trenches can see the value of sugar, the quirky nature of these errors appearing seemingly from no where is hard to defend. Please help us defend the reputation of the sugar system.
Thank you![]()
