    Default Campaign emails issue

I am having an issue with sending campaign emails....they get stuck in the email queue and never go out....

    Details:

Mail transfer agent: SMTP ... should i be using sendmail
    From Address: info@xxx.com
    SMTP server: xxx.com
    SMTP port :26

I am not sure what i am missing so that the email are not delivered, i have tried send test emails and with no luck...How potentialy i can test the connection?

I am using SugarCRM open source

    Thanks

    Hi,

Have you got the Linux cron job or Windows scheduler set up?

Are the campaign start and end dates on the same day? This has happened with several of our users, the email are in the queue and should be sent during the night, but the campaign is finished so they are not sent
    Cheers Malcolm

port 26 is most probably wrong (standard would be 25). Best strategy: Check your favorite email client and copy the settings from there. Then send out an email manually to one of your own addresses. If this works go ahead and play with the scheduler.
Sendmail is NOT recommended if you do not know how to set up a fully qualified domain. All your emails will be thrown back by the first relay server.
