    Default Campaign emails not sent

    I am using SugarCRM open source installed on a windows 2003 server(SMTP is installed on this server)... when i try to send out emails for my campaign they simply stay under my queue folder and they are never delivered

    My email settings are:

    Mail Transfer Agent: SMTP
    SMTP Server: mail.domain.com SMTP Port: 26
    Use SMTP Authentication? yes Enable SMTP over SSL
    SMTP Username: info@domain.com SMTP Password: xxx

    Our mail server in the US is using port 26. the campaign start date is 1.20.09 and end date is 1.22.09

    Please let me know how can i test the connection and how i get this issue resolved?

    Did you configure your scheduler "Run Nightly Mass Email Campaigns"for email campaigns?
    And did you create you cron.php as described in the scheduler list?

    Thank you Kushe for your prompt reply,

    when i checked my scheduler i found this:

    Run Nightly Mass Email Campaigns On the hour; From 02:00AM to 06:00AM 01/01/2005 08:30AM - 12/31/2020 11:59PM Active

    I havent created this... is this running by default?

    I did not run the batch for the cron.php

    Hello,

    you must set up the cron in order for the scheduler items to run. Once you set up the cron, even if your Email Marketing item in the campaign has the start date and time set for today at 11AM, all the emails will go to the queue area until 2AM (since this is when the scheduler begins). From 2AM to 6AM, the emails will send out. You can modify this default to expand the time period.
