    Default Campaign emails stopping at 10

    When we run Campaigns, Sugar is sending out a batch of 10 emails and then stopping. I go into the email Queue and can see all of the emails stacked up. I click on Send emails in Q and then another batch of 10 get sent.

    We are on Version 5.2.0a and recently upgraded from Version 5.1 This problem seemed to happen with the upgrade.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi

    Check "Number of emails sent per batch" in Admin -> Email -> Manage campaign email settings

    Thank you but that number was set at 100. I've raised it to 500 but I'm expecting similar results. Any other thoughts on this?

    Did you check sugarcrm.log file for any error messages?

    We are having the same issue.

    We are using hosted SugarCRM Pro 5.2.0f

    The number of emails sent per batch is set to 500 but we every time I click on send queued email it sends a smaller amount. The amount sent can be anywhere from a dozen or so to 200 +/-.

    When this happens I have been clicking on the send queued email until all are finally sent.

    However, I am now seeing that some people have received multiple emails. I am not sure if this is related or they appeared in multiple target lists. I will check this to verify one way or the other.

    I ran diagnotics and checked the current sugarcrm.log file. We started sending email campaigns in June but there is only 1 error listed for July and none for June. The error for July was unrelated.

    Any thoughts?

    Hi Jim

    Set up schedulers to send emails in queue. This will simplify your job.

    Also increase the max_execution_time in php.ini to a higher value. This will allow more emails to be sent while clicking on "Send Queued Emails" button.

    Thank you for responding so fast !

    I do see about the schedulers in another post while I was trying to find my answer. I do plan to set up a scheduler to send the queue during the day. First I wanted to find out why not all are sending at the same time.

    Since we are having SugarCRM hosted by Sugar do we even have access to the php.ini file? I am fine with editing the file but where do I access the root directory? Do we have FTP access?

    Hi

    I don't have much idea about hosted sugarcrm. I think you cannot change anything in files. So, it is better to setup schedulers. Also you can contact sugar support for help.

    Jim-

    You do not have access to the php.ini file, or ssh, or ftp for that matter. I recommend that you submit a support case at http://support.sugarcrm.com/

    The scheduler *should* be turned on by default, but that is something support can aide you with.

    By default SugarCRM sets the scheduler to run every 5 minutes. I find for email campaigns that you can reliably do 20 emails per minute with a remote SMTP server (which is your case). Therefore I recommend you set the email campaign to 100 emails per batch.

    You need to also check your SMTP server and make sure it will accept 100 emails every 5 minutes. Some SMTP servers would say "Whoa, someone is trying to use me for spam, I'm not going to send these emails". So keep that in mind.

    Thank you to both!

    The schedulers for email are turned on but I only see one for mass nightly email and one for nightly bounced emails. We want them to go during the day while people are at their computers.

    I changed the 500 to 100 for the email batches as you suggested. I will let you know how it goes tomorrow. I plan to send out leads from today which should be 100ish total.
