Right, so we have got past the WSDL error now but have another issue now and I would like to get it straight.
We can now Mailmerge using the Word plugin by either selecting Contacts, Leads etc from within Sugar or from Word connecting to Sugar. This works fine.
We can also create an Email Campaign in Campaigns which sends email to all Targets in all Target Lists. This works fine too.
So far so good!
Problem is, we cannot Mailmerge these same Target Lists. What I mean is, using the new Mailmerge button in Campaigns does not seem to work. When we begin a Campaign Mailmerge and it opens Word it tries to create the merged document but Word then complains about invalid fields, Contact_First_Name for instance. This does not happen when we use mailmerge through the Contacts screen.
I think basically, that when you use mailmerge through Campaigns that it is not sending the details of the Users in the Target Lists within that Campaign to Word and that is why it complains about the invalid fields. Because at that point it is not looking directly at the Target List Contact but only the Target List itself.
Does this make sense, it is difficult to explain this simply?
Is this a bug or does Mailmerge just not work for Campaigns?
It seems everytime we take one step forward we then take two steps back with Sugar!
