    Default Campaign newsletter questions

when I get bounced or opt-our responses after sending our newsletters, what is the procedure for getting the bounced and opt-out emails out of the default list and into the opt-out list? I can select the button to add to a target list, which puts them where I want them but it leaves them in the default list for manual weeding. Is there a process I can run that will move them from one to the other?

    Thanks in advance.

The opt out responses are tracked automatically. If you are using the remove.php tracker url in the campaigns module, when a prospect clicks on the opt out link the opt out field gets checked automatically. Therefore, the next time you send out your newsletter, the email will not go out to this lead.

As for bounced back emails - the invalid email field is checked in the leads/target/contacts module.

Just make sure to filter out opt out = yes and invalid email = yes when adding prospects to your target list.

If you do not have a reporting module to filter out your default liist, you can add your bounced/opt-out response list to suppression list.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Deepali.

The opt out works as described but the bounce did not. Any ideas on trouble shooting this? I noticed that they all bounced because of spam filters @ godaddy. Is there a way to designate a target list that only receives plaintext?
