    Default Campaign resulting in multiple sent emails

    Hi all,

    We are experimenting with the SugarCRM rPath appliance 4.5.0f, and running into a strange issue with Campaigns. Our Scheduler is set to the default 00 01-06 (Once every hour at 01:00, 02:00... 06:00), and we're sending emails more than once for some reason. It seems like once an E-mail is sent to someone in the Target List, its status is probably not updated as being Sent in the database, and then it is queued again.

    Has anyone else experienced this issue?

    Yes, I actually did. But in my case it seems as if it was connected to sendmail (as in application on my Linux box). It behaved VERY strangely there was e.g. only one mail per minute going into the sendmail queue and each and everyone came twice. After I ditched sendmail (what wasn't easy) and installed postfix everything worked almost out of the box with one batch (300 mails) transferred from Sugar to the MTA in about 10 secs.
    SMTP (from Sugar to the MTA) either did not work at all or was completely unpredictable.

    Sorry for the trouble!

    If you want to move to postfix, you can simply uninstall sendmail and reinstall postfix like this from the command line:

    conary erase sendmail
    conary update postfix --resolve

    I don't have it running right this second, so I can't verify those, and I'm not usre if there is anything that needs to be done inside of Sugar to change the MTA settings.

    Sorry - misunderstanding. I use Sugar from source, not the appliance. Nonetheless I had the problems with sendmail.
