Greetings... Quick question...
I am present doing the prep work for an email campaign / newsletter that I am planning on sending shortly.. and I wanted to gain the insight from the forum for people that have successfully done an email campaign and lived to tell about it..
After getting the system configured properly along with fully understanding how the click-thrus work (by means of the Wiki), I have entered all of the targets that I am planning to contact and am allocating them to different target lists....
Here is my question, when I have selected each of the different Target Lists there are going to be some that overlap.. that being said, some of the people in List 1 (lets call it general interest) might also be in List 2 (decision makers)... When I select both list, does Sugar check for duplicates (based on the email address) and only send one email to that person?
This is an issue for me because I am breaking down the Targets into about 15 lists.. and there are some that might get put in all categories for future use... The last thing that I want to happen is for my super important decision maker to wake up with 15 emails saying the same thing in his inbox...
beyond that some of my clients (now contacts) are also probably a lead in the system as well.. there are too many of them to audit... does the system look for duplicate email address prior to sending out the batches of 500 at a time?
Looking for guidance from either Sugar staff to the architected design or a user that has done this before...
Thank you..
best, -mr
