Default Campaign in test mode does not show recipient

We're about to do our first SugarOS 5.2 email campaign.

Everything works great, except our Tracker (at least when doing a "Test" email for the campaign) doesn't show the Recipient Name. Instead, we just get:

    Recipient Name: blank
    Recipient Email: blank
    Activity Type: Click-thru Link
    Activity Date: 2009-09-15 04:26pm
    Related: Our destination URL...
    Hits: 1

The target does have a first name, last name, email (obviously), etc.

Also, the email gets to my mailbox, so at least Recipient Email should show up.

    Is this intentional during Test?

    Or is something wrong?

Also, it sure would be nice if doing a Test didn't update your Campaign stats..

No, it's not intentional. I've just tested our 5.2(i) instance and it works fine.

What patch level are you at?

Also ... test campaign results can be deleted in the Campaign header for each Campaign

    Wait.

I think I may know what's wrong, although this is my first campaign so I could be wrong.

I reviewed the Tracker URL again and see this:

    http://crm.xxxx.com/index.php?entryP...49e29-593e-xxx

Shouldn't the tracker have some other variable that tracks which user this is?

Keep in mind I got this from the Tracker URLs for the campaign.

I did a search on this forum and I think this comes up now and again. Weird.

I assume I need to fix this URL in the email template?

Okay, the Tracker URL in the email is missing the identifier.

Doesn't SugarCRM add this on sending? Apparenlty not. Solution?

    Okay,. here is the issue.

You can't seem to ever use an existing email in a campaign. You have to create a new one and insert the Tracker URLs that way.

If you use an existing email template and use the Tracker URLs provided on the Campaign page->Trackers, it doesn't work. (So, I am also curious why even show those URLs since they are useless?)

Would be a nice feature to be able to use existing email templates BTW.
