    - that works well with Sugar V 5.2.0 and Blackberry Bold? I also run the Blackberry on BIS not BES which seems to make things a bit more complicated. Have tried to get Fieldforce working but no joy, there is MobileEdge but that requires $4000 of server software - any other good packages out there?

What are the features you are expecting in the mobile application?

    Features I need are:
    1) the application loads onto the Blackberry (as oposed to simply viewing a website version of Sugar)
    2) wirelessly pulls sub-sets of data down to the Blackberry
    3) Allows any edits made on the Blackberry data to wirelessly synch back to the server
    4) Allows me to remote search the server from my Blackberry for any records that might not reside on my Blackberry - for example an Account that I don't own, but whose details I need to check on
    5) Enables Custom Created Fields to be viewed on Blackberry
    6) Enables custom Module to be viewed on Blackberry - for example in the Salesforce version we created a 'stock items' module and a 'operation procedures' module, both of which we could view, access or create via our Blackberrys
    7) Ability to log sales calls to Accounts and Contacts, in such a way that the sales $ value for each user can be reported on at the close of each day, also other activity stats, ie how many calls made today, how many were no sales, how many were cold calls
    8) Ability to create filters for the data - for example instead of searching through my 200 Accounts, I want to create and save a filter that would list only "Accounts where site = The Myer Shopping Centre" - in that way I can have a list view of just those customers I should go and see in this partiuclar shopping centre - it also reminds me who is there so I can work through them and not miss anyone
    9) The usual calendar and Task synching, ideally using the Blackberry calendar which is great

Well no doubt plenty more when I list them, but that's about ti for starters!

This looks like it may be the solution I was looking for.

Only issue may be that we have our own BES server presenting to external network, and SugarCRM is running internally. How does Blackberry/SugarCRM bridge this? Do we need to do something with a VPN to get it to work or are there alternative approaches you would suggest?
