Default Can cases be assigned to and viewed by one user only?

    Hi,

Amazing software and I appreciate the opportunity to use it.

    I'm having one issue though.

Basically, I have a role setup that allows users assigned to this role to only view project tasks and cases.

I can currently assign project tasks to these role users which they can modify and add notes.

I can assign cases to these users which appear in their dashlet BUT when they click on the actual case name, it gives a "Warning: You do not have permission to access this module." message.

From what I've read, it seems the cases are used for assigning a case to a team but I am using the open source version and am unable to create/manage teams.

Should it work the way I'm trying to get it to or is there anything I can do to get it to work like this?

    Thanks in advance!

    Cheers,
    Tim

It kind of sounds like your role is also limiting which Cases a user can see. To allow everyone to see all the Cases, modify the role and change the View option on the Cases module to "All" or "Not Set."

you could also look at some of the teams contributions in sugarforge if you need to segment by team
