Default Can I control users access to specific accounts?

Just wondering, is it possible for me to set Sugar to allow different users to see diferent accounts?

If so how would I do this?

I have a situation where I want users to only see the accounts they are responsible for, I have many users (hrmm, maybe 50?) and many accounts (probably thousands). So you can see why this would be important!!

    Any ideas?

    Cheers

It is possiable but you will need teamsOS which is still in Alpha. The Professional and Enterprise has teams built in which allows the assignment of objects to teams. There are private teams and public teams that can control the access to the objects.

    Thanks for the reply umeso.

We are willing to upgrade to the pro or ent editions of Sugar.

So the pro Sugar will do what I want?

I might go have a look at the online demo now!

    Cheers

Ok, I have had a look at a SugarCRM Pro demo and the teams look good.

    However...

When using the calender if I schedule a meeting and assign it to a team, then when I assign it to a person it will allow me to choose any person in the organisation... not just from that team. Is there a way to just make it display the team members? As we have 30+ users it is a bit much.

Also, if we buy the pro version do you know if we still get access to the source code? We have several programers in our company who have customised parts of the open source version for us so that would be important as well.

    Cheers
