Can I copy Layouts?

Howdy,

I personally find it quite time consuming to configure custom layouts for my new Modules in the Studio. It pains me to have to repeat the process at least twice for the DetailView and EditView layouts separately.

Is is possible to quickly copy/clone one Layout onto another? Any other tips to save time?

Presently there is no facility available in sugar to do this via interface.

Hi David

I use to configure the EditView layout and just copy the structure of the generated file into detailviewdefs.php, without overriding DetailView specific fields, like date_entered, date_modified, created_by, modified_by.
