Can I do these tasks more easily?

Hello,

I am using SugarCRM 4.5.0c on Linux. Here are some tasks that I do repeatedly, that I would like to find an easier way to do. Can you help me?

- When I look at the list of calls I need to make, I would like to see the phonenumber that I need to call. If not on the activities list, at least when I edit the call. As it stands, I need to edit the call, then click on the name of the Lead or the Contact. That's too long. Is there a better way?

- When I send email messages using a template, sometimes I want the salutation to be in English (in an English template) and sometimes I want it in French. What I have seen is that the salutation is always in English when the message is sent. So instead of relying on Sugar to do it for me, I make the changes manually. Is there a better way?

- Performance using Firefox is awful on my laptop. Bringing up a page regurlarly takes 10 to 15 seconds, with the CPU close to 100%. When I take a look at the process which is taking up all the time, I see that it is sometimes firefox itself, and sometimes Apache. But it looks like Firefox is the real culprit. I tried Opera, it's a bit faster. However, some fnctionality (such as email templates) don't work with it. Does anyone have a way to speed this up some more?

On some of them yes some require coding changes.

I would have to do more research to see how this could be done.

This one you could do by creating a template for each signature when you are done with the email you can select the template and it will append to the message your signature you select.

Laptops are usually not designed for performance unless you purchase one that is a performance laptop, but battery runtime is much shorter. There are a few things you can do to enhance performance at the expense of battery life.

1. Disable hard drive turn off or power save. The bigget reason for you slow response time is the hard drive has to turn back on and come up to speed before it can begin reading the hard drive MySQL, Apache and Firefox all use the hard drive and have to wait for the hard drive to spin up for use. leaving the hard drive always on will make the system faster for you but will shorten your battery life. The settings will be found in windows under power settings.
2. Disable sleep mode.

Well, I am back with these same issues. I am currently at 4.5.1, and I am still struggling with these.

• Performance is still awful, but it seems to be a Linux issue more than anything else. I don't see nearly the same type of performance degradation on Windows. For example, accessing this forum can take 15 seconds to display the main page. And during that time, my CPU is at 100%. I'm not too optimistica bout fixing this particular issue.
  
• The language issue is still there: I can have different templates in different languages, that's fine. My problem is that I want the salutation to be correct, in the proper language. As it stands, the salutation is "Mr.", "Mrs." or whatever. But in a French template, I need the salutation to say "M." or "Mme". I can set the rest of the text in French, but the problem is the code that is automatically inserted by Sugar.
  
• I still have not been able to figure out how to put the phone number of a contact/lead/account on the page of a scheduled call, or a scheduled meeting. I really feel this is supposed to be a basic operation and I am just not seeing it.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I realise that I took a long time to reply but I often just deal with the issues until it gets too much and that's when I ask again. :-)
