Question Can I eliminate "Type" field from Opportunities?

Can I eliminate "Type" field (Existing business, New business) from Opportunities?
    Why it's so essential?
We do not need it at all.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

It isn't a required field so no problem removing it. You can remove the field with the Studio component.
    Cheers Malcolm

Question Re: Can I eliminate "Type" field from Opportunities?

    I can't remove the items.
I do removing by meance of the studio, but there are my own items added only.
    Removing is not being applied.
    What is it bug?

I also see that I can't remove the items feom the account_type_dom combobox.
    I can only add mine.

Does the webserver user have write access to the custom directory in Sugar's root directory?
