Default can a manager look at his team's work?

I am evaluating sugarCRM Open Source version and wanted to confirm if it was possible for a manager to be able to see all the leads, opportunities, etc. belonging to his team only. Is there any workaround or a code hack that we can implement and get it working?

    With best regards
    Yog

    Hi Yog and fabravo,

This can be done by using the Roles Management. Create roles and assigns actions accordingly. Taka a quick look here: http://sugarcrm.openapp.org/?p=113

This would help you either: http://sugarcrm.openapp.org/?p=144

    HTH.

    Regards,

    Thanks for your response.

I would say my need was different. Let me rephrase the situation.

Product Manager A has team members Exec1 and Exec2
Product Manager B has team members Exec3 and Exec4

Is it possible for Product Manager A to look at Leads only with Exec1 and Exec2, but not with Exec3 and Exec4?

For info, this can be done with the team feature of the pro version - using team memberships or the 'reports to' facility..

Haven't tried it yet, but there is an OS version out there too.
