    Default can not delete emails through sugar

    I have installed Sugar 5.0.0e community edtion with MS SQL and PHP

    I can send and receive email through the sugar interface. My email is hosted with a hosted email provider and I connect to it with a pop3 account.
    There are two issues.

    Most important is that when I select a message to delete through the sugar interface, it says wait a moment and that never goes away, the message is never deleted from the hosted server.

    Second, is that I need to log into my hosted email account and delete the message or messages this way. when I log back into sugar and click on email....once it 'pulls' in my email again. Sure my messages are deleted, but now my inbox tab gives the proper amount of messages while the inbox list on the right side shows the original number of messages (prior to any deleteion...there's no syncronization to the figures.

    Has anyone experienced deletion issues of emails from their hosted email provider through Sugar?

    Go to Admin -> Inbound Emails -> Select the Email account you are using -> Check the use SSL checkbox.

    Unfortunatley checking the SSL box does not do anything.

    If I sheck it for pop3 with my parameters for mail.tetheredns.com, an error occurs because the hosting service does not use SSL.
    If I check SSL for smtp with the only entry needed for mail.shawcable.ca (just the mail server name...no user name or password), I still get the same result when trying to delete a message...a dialog box telling me to wait a minute, that never goes away and the message is never deleted.
    On the flip side, since the mail server mail.shawcable.ca does not use SSL, I cannot send messages when SSL is checked.

    Any other ideas?

    I did some more testing and found out that if I attempt to delete a message through surgaremail (email still resides on my hosted email box) or attempt to move a message from my sugaremail inbox (again, message still on my hosted email server) to a folder I created in sugar, after several minutes, I get a dialog box that has the title: Exception Occurred...
    and the message Internal Server Error

    UPDATE:
    I managed to resolve this error.

    However, I set up a seccond hosted email account in the email module. Within thiis new email 'account' I am able to delete messages, however, when I syncronize or check for new messages, the messages come back. If I log into webmail for the provider that I have the email on, the messages are still there, so it seems that Sugar will no delete messages from hosted email accounts. Is this true?

    Sure looks that way to me. had the same issues and decided that I would just use webmail to delete messages after I attached what I wanted to keep.

    PHP Version 5.3.2
    Database MySQL Ver. 5.1.52
    Web Server Apache 2.2.15


    Will
    Just barely a Sys/Admin
    No where close to a programmer
