Default Can not import all Accounts

    Hello everybody,
I am trying to import to SugarCRM CE 6.1.6 (running on a CentOS 5.5 server with MySQL) all my client accounts using an xls generated by SAP. When I enter the document and assign all the fields though it returns me an error saying that the import failed. The xls contains almost 1200 entries why is the wizard giving me this error? I tried splitting the xls in half and the first half gets imported but the second half is still giving me the error. Any clue on what the problem might be? My fear is that there is an account limit I did not know of....
    Thanks!

The number of imported accounts is not a problem. I think the csv file contains a row that is not well-formed.
    You could do the following:
    1) look at the end of the file. Is the last row ok (same format as the row before?)?
    2) Are there any error messages on screen telling something about the reason of the problem?
    3) If you import the second half of the file: does it import at least some rows or nothing?
    4) You could have a look into sugarcrm.log file in main Sugar directory (or run admin->Diagnostic Tool to get that file: select "SugarCRM Log File", deselect the rest and press "Execute Diagnostic"). Any error messages for the import?
    5) You could split the file in more parts to get step by step nearer to the row that leads to the error.

If the import failed so there are available for downloading the report of failure.
Attach such reports (csv files) into your next post.

The last step of import shows the results of the import. In case of any error you get a link ("Download list of errors") where you can download the error log (see screenshot).

Hm. Looks bad. Any problems with file access rights?

You should try to get through the points I wrote last week:
For step 4) you should do a fresh import and right after that look into the log file (so that you can find any error messages for that import near the end of the file).

I tried splitting the file in more parts and managed to get only +- only 100 more companies...
Examining the csv file they gave me I noticed that some of the entries have the same name (they are different offices of the same company) may this be the problem?

Did you check the other points of the list too? Which results did you get?

If there are no actual messages in sugarcrm.log you should check the log level setting in admin->system settings. You could set it temporarily to a lower level to see if you get additional messages giving more information on what happened during the import.
