Default Urgent : Can sugar read all imap headers?

I can't seem to view emails from our mail server using sugar email when the email has already been read by another application such as outlook. Is there a way to get sugar to download all headers whether they are read or not? Idealy it would allow me to view all emails and show the email as read or unread if it is as such on the actual mail server. Any help with this would be much appreciated. I would also be interested to hear if anyone else has run into this same issue.
    Thanks

    Hi,

I have the same question for Sugar .

    I use thunderbird and Sugar to read mails with IMAP protocol;
when I read a new mail with Thunderbird I cannot view it in
Sugar. Why? Is there a way to do so?

    Thanks.

    I use Sugar 4.2.1d

I do not understand how the Sugar IMPA protocol implementation works.

Let's suppose I have this IMAP account myName@imap.com
    configured in Thunderbird and SugarCRM.

Case #1: A new mail arrived
    1. Check mail with Thunderbird
    2. Thunderbird gets the new mail
    3. I read the mail with Thunderbird
    4. Check the mail with Sugar
    5. Sugar _does not_ get the read mail

Case #2: A new mail arrived
    1. Check mail with Sugar
    2. Sugar gets the new mail
    3. I read the mail with Sugar
    4. Check the mail with Thunderbird
    5. Thunderbird _gets_ the read mail

    Case #3: Deleted mail
    1. I delete a mail with Thunderbird
    2. Check mail with Sugar
    3. The deleted mail still remain in the inbound mail list

These cases let me think that Sugar inbound mail is
not well synchronized with the IMAP account. Don't you
    think so?

Is it possible to synchronize Sugar Inbound mail with
the IMAP account (like other mail clients do)?

I have the same question as sepstyle, I am making an assumption that if Sugar email client is set up for IMAP than it will behave as any IMPA client would which would be completely synchronised with the mail server data. The Sugar mail client would be more useful if it was able to retrieve all headers.

Thumbs down SugarEmail is not a real email client

AFAIK - Sugar's email client is not a real email client. In my mind its a glorified mail import tool (a bit of a oversimplification, but true). It is treating IMAP almost like POP3... I too like you expected it to act as a IMAP client, but alas it is not. It will be great when it finally is

Someone correct me if I am wrong....
