can´t send email with SugarCE ver 5.5.0

Hello all!

I can´t get SugarCE ver 5.5.0 to send emails; and the "can´t connect to SMTP" still rises!!.. I already check with telnet and the port used is open, de user and password works fine from outlook or webmail. Also, checked all threads about outbound email in this forum plus this notes: (http://kb.sugarcrm.com/featured/an-i...y-in-sugarcrm/) and ( http://kb.sugarcrm.com/config/troubl...-email-issues/).
Is this CRM that difficult to use and install?..

cPanel Version 11.24.5-STABLE /cPanel Build 38506 /Apache version 2.2.14 (Unix)
PHP version 5.2.11 / MySQL version 5.0.85-community /Architecture x86_64 /Operating system Linux

Already found what ´s the solution: when your CRM application resides in the same server as the SMTP, instead of using mail.yoursmtpserver.com type localhost in configuring

de email outbound server as SMTP.

That works fine for SugarCE ver 5.5.0 and 5.5.1 beta (a tried both).

I tried localhost and it did not work. I have tried 3 different email accounts. This use to work in 5.2. The inbound email comes in just fine but when I send email I get "Error emailing:SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host.".

Someone please help!!!

Are your SugarCE and smtp server in the same machine?. ¿is your SugarCE5.5.0 new install or an upgrade?

In my 550 installation sugar is not able to set the smtp user name correctly.

So I opend the database table outbound_email and entered my smtp user name in the column mail_smtpuser.

Now smtp email works ...
