Default Can URL tracker responses be cached on a public web server?

I am using SugarCRM on my mac, which is not accessible from the Internet. In order to keep track of tracker URL's (unsubscribe, opened email, etc), is it possible to:

    - Set up a cache web server that would receive these clicks/stats, perhaps respond back with a standard message to the campaign recipient as needed.
    - I can periodically connect with this cache server and download all of the tracker data to my mac.

Is this possible? I have already reviewed the paper on how to set up a publicly facing web server that somehow has a way to reach the SugarCRM instance hosted on the Intranet. Though my scenario is different since my mac is not always in one location, and/or its not always connected to the Internet ( I am a traveling consultant).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The only way this would work is if that "cache" was a copy of your SugarCRM and that wouldnt make much sense. In the end the tracker URLs have to resolve back to code that puts the right data in the database. There isnt anyway to 'cache' that as far as I know. I am sure something could be written somehow (there are a few design issues I can see right away) but it really wasnt designed for a mobile server.
