Default Can you "link" a document to an lead or account?

I create a PDF document specifically for a lead or an account (i.e. a quote or work-order, etc.) Of course I can upload it to the Documents. But can I link it to that specific client? The concept is similar to Notes, Emails, etc. and how they are "tied" to the Lead, or Account, etc.

    Thanks,

    Al

No, Documents is a stand alone module. If you need to relate a document use the history subpanel "Create Note or Attachment" ... available in just about every module

    Wow. That works great.

I have one other issue. Where in Sugar is the attachment stored?

When I delete a note that has an attachment, will it delete the actual file?

One problem with Documents is that when you delete a document file, you only delete reference to it in the database "chain", but the actual file stays on Sugar forever... thus wasting lots of disk space. This is one reason I don't store many docs in Sugar. (Unless that has been changed in new versions of CE?)

    Thanks.
