Cannot Change Account Name Value In Leads Record

I want to change the Account Name value in a Leads record, but when I click "Save", the values reverts to the prior value.

The only thing that I can see that is different about this Leads record from those where I can change the Account Name value is that above the Edit, Duplicate, etc. buttons it says "Converted Account: Joe's Bar & Grill".

Does this mean the Leads record was created from the Joe's Bar & Grill Accounts record and there is link from the Leads record back to the Accounts record that is preventing me from changing the Account Name value in the Leads record?

Indeed, that is the reason. On converted leads, the change would need to happen at the Account level.
