I do not need SugarCRM any longer and wanted to uninstall it.
It seemed clear to me that I just need to delete all files with my FTP programm and everything is fine.

Sofar the theory. In praxis most files are still left and cannot be deleted (permssion denied).
Any attempts to change permissions failed.

I searched for a solution before posting here and found a post which then made me also delete my database.

Here is what CuteFTP has got to say when trying to delete e.g. upgrade_progress.php::

Unable to transfer.
This is most likely due to insufficient permissions. Verify both the destination path and permissions, then try again. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator or hosting provider.

When trying to CHMOD to 777:

[03.01.2009 15:16:57] 550 /html/www/SugarCRM/cache/upload/upgrades/temp/upgrade_progress.php: Operation not permitted

Can anybody help me ?
