Cannot Edit Layouts

When I go to Studio, then browse to the appropriate layout that I want to edit (in this case: Documents - Layouts - ListView), when I actually click on ListView, nothing happens except I get an 'undefined' box to appear at the top of the page briefly. I have tried this with other layouts as well and always get the same thing. So I can't edit any layouts! Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Check if there is any error message at the tail of the sugarcrm.log.

OK - I looked in the log, and there is nothing there from today. I also checked out the log level & it says Fatal. Should I change the log level, so that it will log more events?

to check the log, simply go to the system root directory and open the file sugarcrm.log

There's nothing in the log from today, do you recommend setting the Log level to Debug? Right now it is set to Fatal.
