Cannot get bounced emails via manual "Check Mail" Button

Hello all,

I cannot get SugarCRM 4.2.0 to get "bouced back" emails from a campaign. The email is sitting in my email server.

Here is what I have:
1) Group email setup to handle bounced emails
2) Sent test campaign email...and purposefully put inaccurate email in to get a bounce back
3) Bounced back email is sitting at the email server
4) Pressing "Check Mail" button does not get the email
5) If I change "Possible Actions" from "Bounce Handling" to "Create [any]" the emails are acquired from the email server and displayed in the group inbox.

I am running SugarCRM on hosted web server. I cannot run CRON or the scheduler. I have to manually send campaign emails...and manually get "Bounced" emails. I am ok with this...I was just hoping that I could get it to work.

I'm assuming if the scheduler can kick off the "bouced email" functions...than a button can be created to manually start the process. Please advise.

we deliberately disable bounce checking via that button click.

if you'd like to "Fake" having a scheduler, use your web-browser and navigate to http://[your_domain]/[sugarcrm]/cron.php - it'll will trigger like you have a cron job running that moment.

you may have to do it twice (once more after 60 secs) if you've never used the Scheduler with crontab before.
