Cannot send email: "Error emailing: Could not execute: /usr/sbin/sendmail"

Hello,

I'm trying to set up the email client that is built in to sugar. I managed to receive emails via imap but when I try to send one an error message pops up and says:

"Error emailing:Could not execute: /usr/sbin/sendmail"

I tried the php mail() function in a different script, it worked fine.
The php setting sendmail_path is set to /usr/sbin/sendmail -t -i

Why can't sugar use it?

I appreciate any help.

does anyone have an idea what causes the sendmail problem?
I appreciate any help as I cannot really work with sugar before I get this fixed.

The inbound settings and outbound settings are completely different.

You can find the outbound settings within the Settings / Mail Accounts / Select the Account from drop-down menu. Find Outgoing mail server at the bottom. To the right, click on Add.

You should get a new window with the Outbound mail settings.
