Cannot verify DB credentials

Hi,

I was trying to install sugarcrm on my local windows XP machine. The webserver is Apache and PHP is installed correctly. Mysql database can be connected as well. However, when I clicked on next on the Database configuration page after I had filled in the correct information the popup window kept displaying "verifying DB credentials". It just keeps verifying and doen't go anywhere.

Can anyone help me on that?

And ... the actual error message that you are getting
