Cant assign accounts to one of our users

I have one user in our system who I can not assign accounts to. When I select her as the user from the drop down list she is there and the program does let me select her but when I save the selection it does not save the change. Help

Please, clarify some details:
Which sugar version are you talking about?
Are there installed packages or had you customize your sugar instance?
You are talking about user dropdown. Are you meaning the user quick search feature on Accounts EditView?
