Cant Change Required Field

I cant chenge Required Field of a field

If i CLONE it it is possible but I cant CLONE it

I wanna make this field as required but cant change

I just checked in the Pro version. It is also true there that you cannot change the required flag of the field that are built in. I'm wondering not only how to work around but why they would have the field available for clicking and yet unclickable.

If possible edit the vardef.php file directly,

'required' => true,
