    Default Can't configure inbound email

    Dear reader!

    When I try to create an account for my inbound email, i can't select a trash folder.
    Afterwards I refered to the log and it was telling me:

    Sat Apr 2 11:47:31 2011 [20802][-none-][FATAL] Retrieving record by id users:1 found Query Failed: SELECT users.* FROM users WHERE users.id = '1' AND users.deleted=0 LIMIT 0,1: MySQL error 2006: MySQL server has gone away
    Sat Apr 2 11:56:04 2011 [21354][-none-][FATAL] Retrieving record by id users:1 found Query Failed: SELECT users.* FROM users WHERE users.id = '1' AND users.deleted=0 LIMIT 0,1: MySQL error 2006: MySQL server has gone away

    I hope, someone can tell me what im doing wrong.

    First of all, you should check your database configuration.
    The errormessage in your log let me suppose that your database is on an other computer than your Sugar installation.

    If not, you should use localhost for the database host name.

    Then the Email-setup:
    what ist he localized name of your trash folder?
    What happens when exactly when you select your trash folder?

    The database is indeed on another computer than the Sugar installation.
    I have no idea of the localized name of my trash folder and I am trying to use the Gmail setup, so I thought that you could select a trash folder but instead of giving a list of trash folders which I can use, I get the message: Please wait for a long time and afterwards something like your session has expired.

    So I just fill in the form and I canīt select a trashfolder afterwords.

    Did you select the INBOX, or did you use the default?

    If you used the default, I suppose you cannot select it too.

    Then this seems to be a firewall/security issue.

    Is it possible that your firewall or router does not allow access to external port 993 accesses?

    Set the loglevel to debug and check the sugarcrm.log files after trying to connect.

    Thank you of trying to help! So I just changed the log level to debug and tried to select a trashfolder again, ofcourse it still did not work, this is the log:

    looks like a firewall issue.
    The mailing process cannot access gmail servers.
