cant find custom fields deffs

I've looked everywhere and i cannot find where the custom fields vardefs.php would be if that is even the file. I am looking for where the individual custom fields are defined in 5.5.2 as well as 5.2.0k any help would be appreciated.

no one knows where these are stored? I have looked anywhere i can think of.

I'm having trouble getting the custom fields to show up when importing data. I'm also having trouble getting the imported data to show up under any user. Any suggestions?

Actually custom fields defs are stored at database table fields_meta_data.
The custom fields defs is merged into cached vardefs. You can find such file at cache/modules/<ModuleName>/<BeanName>vardefs.php
