I have installed the SugarCRM Community version 5.2.0C on a linux shared hosting server that runs PHP 5.2.6 and MySQL 5.0.22. The installation went fine. I set the PHP memory limit to 32M in the .htaccess file. When I try to install extra modules on this fresh install I run into trouble. I fisrt tried the Connector for Google Calendar module. When I try to commit the module via the Module Loader the installation stops at 19%. The message I get is:
[localhost]/crm/cache/upload/upgrades/temp/q2nlqP/scripts/pre_install.php
19%
Display Log
Failed to copy[localhost]/crm/cache/upload/upgrades/temp/q2nlqP/google_calendar_conf.php to google_calendar_conf.php
In the error log in Plesk I can see the following message:
[error] [client 77.250.16.60] PHP Warning: copy(google_calendar_conf.php) [<a href='function.copy'>function.copy</a>]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in [localhost]/crm/ModuleInstall/ModuleInstaller.php on line 1447, referer: [localhost]/crm/index.php?module=Administration&view=module&action =UpgradeWizard_prepare
And on the server I see in the Cache directory several directories that I cannot access because the owner/group is apache. I cannot even open these directories, like the dashlets, jslanguage and modules directory. I also see the cache/upload directory with the Connector_Google_Calendar_1.0.7-RC.zip and the upgrades directory that have apache owner/group.
I talked to the hosting support huy and they say they can't help because it's a sugarcrm problem. I searched the forum for help, but didn't find anything. I can use sugarcrm, but I get the impression I have to fix some kind of permissions problem to be able to use all functionality. Any suggestions where to look for an answer?
