Exclamation Can't log in any more

We've been running SugarCRM for one and a half year now, before summer (in june) we upgraded to version 5 of CRM and after summer I upgraded to the latest release. It's been working perfectly fine for about a month now, untill today.

I was logged in earlier today, but 30 minutes ago it became impossible to log in for everyone else also. We're running our instance on a managed server which runs linux with mySQL and PHP 4. The people running the server for us claims they have not made any changes to the serversoftware.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Vinnie,

Maybe your Sugar Pro license expired. Only admins can login when it expires.

If that's not the issue and you suspect someone changed something on the server, you can dump your Sugar database and download the files to a local machine. If you reinstall it there and it works, you'll know the problem is with the server.

Another possibility is a change in the address of the system. E.g. maybe is was http://mydomain.com/sugar and you changed it to http://myNewDomain.com/sugarcrm. That could cause the logins to fail without a warning or error.

In any case, you should upgrade to the most recent PHP 5.* version. You will need it for SugarCRM 5.1.

    Best regards,

    David

Changing from HTTP to HTTPS could also cause this.

The issue has been figured out, and it did happen to be server-related. Something about a tmp-folder overfilled with files (over 250.000 files or something like that) so the server couldn't handle any more logins/tmp-sessions or something like that.

Anyway, sugar is up and running again after the serverpeople emptied the tmp-directory and they are now searching for the reason for this to happen, but it seems to be unrelated to SugarCRM.

    PS!
    Thanks for your reply

I'm glad it's sorted out. We've had that problem as well, where the server runs out of disk space and can't create the files needed for sessions and caching.
