    Default Can't remove custom modules

    I was doing an upgrade at a new job from Sugar CE 4.5.1 to Sugar CE 5.0.h. This is the version that they decided upon so I went with it. The upgrade went fine as expected '), but the Forums module and a few other modules that were previously installed no longer work now.
    I'm fine with that and expected it but I just want to remove them along with their lint.
    I went to the module loader and it was giving an error about a missing directory.
    For WHATEVER reason, they removed everything from /cache/upload/upgrade directory. I saved the data in the upgrade history table, and truncated it so I could get past the error.

    I know i'll need to delete the tables manually as well as the FileSystem, what would be the best step of actions to take?
    I have a copy of the 4.5.1 before I made the upgrade if it would be easier to remove them from the older system.

    I'm at a loss, thanks.

    Hi Joe

    If you are not able to uninstall these modules from Module Loader.

    You need to:
    1. Go to Admin -> Configure tabs -> Move the tabs for these modules from Display to Hidden column;
    2. Remove the folders of these modules into modules/ folder.
    3. Remove the entries related to these modules from custom/Extension/application subfolders;
    4. Go to Admin -> Repair -> Quick Repair and Rebuild

    Hi

    Thanks for that.

    I followed the steps

    and after doing the quick repair and rebuild i get the following

    Clearing Vardefs from cache...done
    Clearing language files from cache...done
    Repair Database
    Print Print Help Help
    Processing database and vardef comparison...

    Is that not supposed to end with a "done" ? like the other lines

    thanks

    Take a look in the tail of the sugarcrm.log in the root of your sugarcrm installation.
    Additionally take a loot in the tail of the error log of your web service.

    Cheers

    Did what ya said. theres way more wrong than i origionaly thaught. Whent to quick repair and rebuild again and it gave me

    Differences found between database and vardefs

    Then a huge script to run. that i rem from with in MSSQL on the server

    When i run the script the first error i get is

    Msg 5074, Level 16, State 1, Line 190
    The index 'idx_lead_del_stat' is dependent on column 'status'.
    Msg 4922, Level 16, State 9, Line 190
    ALTER TABLE ALTER COLUMN status failed because one or more objects access this column.

    I commented those lines out and ran again and i get similar errors furthur down.

    This is what was on line 190

    ALTER TABLE leads ALTER COLUMN status nvarchar(100) NULL ;

    So i made the change manualy. And ran the quick repair and rebuild and it came up again.

    Any help please.
