Cant see newly created drop down lists...

I need some help getting my newly created fields uploaded into SugarCRM Community (recently downloaded) - well at least that is what I think I need.

I went to Studio and created a new drop down list. I went to contacts again in Studio, and I went to edit view, list view and detail view and added the drop down. Unfortunately now, when I go to create a contact that field doesn’t show and I don’t know why.

Can anyone explain (very simply - I am new to this) how to 'see' the new drop down list in Contacts and Accounts views? Have I done it correctly?

Did you click Save & Deploy after making the changes to the layouts in Studio? It is possible you only clicked Save.
