Cant send emails SMTP from sugar crm?

Hello,

New to this sugarcrm and somewhat loving it.

Issue: cant seem to send out any emails, i get error message every time i try to send.

"Error emaiing:SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host."

I can recieve pop emails just fine.

I tried an external email account, google app email account, and the internal which is hosted on siteground.com.

Please help.

Check and test the default outbound email settings in the Admin area. By default, this is the outbound settings for users for sending out emails.

It sounds like maybe these settings are not correct
