My SugarCRM version is 5.2.0j.
I add 'Assigned to' in the basic search.
when I typed in admin and click search, nothing's in the list.
Is there anybody who's familiar with this?
Or
I just can't use 'Assigned to' that way?

Hi,
I think you did something wrong.
Letrium ltd. - Only high quality service

Ad you're typing in the name in assigned to a dropdown of possible matches should come up. You'll need to select one from that list or use the select button if nothing comes up. Once you're able to select the right user the search should work correctly along as admin is assigned to something.

There just nothing came up.
Any comments?
Whenever you "can't find" information in sugar, the default action is to hit the "Clear" button. This clears all the previous search parameters that sugar has "remembered" for you.
The put in your new search parameters ... what happens when you do this?

Still get nothing.
the most interesting thing is that I build up a blank VPC, use the default value(which provided by the sugarcrm), and just can't make it.......
So do help please.
I think I have the same problem. If it's not the same forgive me as I'm not trying to hijack a thread. We upgraded from 4.5.1 to 5.0 and then to 5.2. In 4.5.1, the Assigned to search field was a scrolling list of users where you could pick multiple users. After the upgrades, Assigned to is a single field and a select button. The field works in that it will auto-complete "greg" when typing "gre", and using the select button finds all users; however, choosing a user, who I know has projects assigned, results in a blank search.
Yes, I have cleared the form beforehand. The cases module also has an Assigned to search field, but it is the scrolling list as projects used to be, and it works in that it finds the proper cases you're searching for.
In studio, the Assigned to field for the Cases module is named assigned_user_id, but in the Project module, it's named assigned_user_name. There is no assigned_user_id available for Projects. Curiously enough, in the Cases studio I see both the assigned_user_id and assigned_user_name fields, but I'm only using assigned_user_id.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Greg
I installed the latest version of Sugar on a test server and populated with dummy data during the config. I added the Assigned to field to the advanced search for projects and using this field as my sole search criteria shows no projects.
Anyone have an answer for this?
